2013-16 Planning and Implementation Grant
The Florida Department of Education has released a Request for Proposals for the 2013-16 Public Charter Schools Grant Program (CSP). The 2013-16 CSP Grant is for planning and initial implementation of newly approved public charter schools.

Eligible Applicant(s)
New charter schools that have received approval from their chartering authority (Sponsor) to open in the 2013-2014 school year may submit grant applications for this RFP. Only those charter school applicants that applied to their Sponsors in August 2012 or August 2011 are eligible to apply.
A charter school applicant that has been denied by its Sponsor and has filed a timely appeal with the State Board of Education is eligible to apply.
A charter school applicant that has not yet received an approval/denial determination from its sponsors may also submit a grant application.
Charter schools that are currently in operation are not eligible to apply for this grant. The Department will issue a separate RFP for operational schools later this year.
Application Due Date
Stage I proposal is due by December 24, 2012 at 5:00 pm. The due date refers to the date and time the proposal must be fully submitted through the CSP Review Room at https://flcsp.myreviewroom.com/.
The RFP (page 20) provides instructions for submitting a Stage I Proposal. Stage I Proposals do not need Superintendent signature.
